Bonney Lake’s recreational system includes over 250 acres of parks and open space, five miles of trail, a senior center and various recreational programs and community events throughout the year. Allan Yorke Park serves as the centerpiece to the City’s park system and provides a variety of outdoor recreation amenities and waterfront activities.
As demand for park space and recreation programs changes and grows, the City is planning the future direction for Bonney Lake parks, open spaces, trails and recreation programs for the next twenty years through this updated Parks, Trails, Recreation and Open Space (PTRO) Plan.
In addition, having an updated PTRO Plan will give the City access to apply for state and federal grants in the future.
While we are updating the PTRO Plan, we are preparing design concepts for future improvements to Allan Yorke Park, Midtown Park and Victor Falls Park.
In April 2023, we surveyed the community to learn about your park and recreation preferences, interests and priorities. Over 600 people responded to the survey.
This online open house ran from October 10 to October 20, 2023. For questions, please contact Jason Sullivan at SullivanJ@ci.bonney-lake.wa.us
